Low Alwinton Cottages are situated in the heart of rural Northumberland and stand in the shadow of Alwinton church. We are open all year round and short breaks are available.
Our four cottages in Northumberland are fully equipped and have full Economy 7 Night Storage Heating. All power and linen (duvets) are included in the price. A basket of logs will be at your cottage on arrival. Thereafter more logs are available at a cost. We have ample parking at the cottages, along with large gardens with lawns and fruit trees and ample furniture. Each cottage has its own garden as well as communal areas.
There is a payphone on site for guests use and pets are welcome in all properties except Cheviot Cottage.

Byre Cottage — sleeps 6
Byre Cottage boasts a large conservatory, spacious living and dining area with multi-fuel stove, colour TV and video/DVD, making it the perfect accommodation for six people. There is also a kitchen area with electric cooker, dishwasher, auto/washer, fridge, microwave and fitted units. Sleeping facilities consist of a two double bedrooms and a twin bedded room. There is also a bathroom/WC with over the bath electric shower.
Coquet Cottage — sleeps 6
This character cottage is in excess of 200 years old and consists of a large lounge with beamed ceiling and open fire with a colour TV and video/DVD. There is a fully fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, and microwave, along with a dining area, and utility area with auto/washer. There is also a large dining room with a beamed ceiling and open fire. This cottage sleeps up to six people with a double sofa bed, double bedroom (accessible up steep stairs) with beams and sloping ceiling, and a twin bedded room, also with beamed and with sloping ceiling. There is also a bathroom/WC.
Reivers Cottage — sleeps 4
If you're looking for accommodation for four people in Northumberland, then why not book the Reivers Cottage, a Scandinavian log cabin that is warm and cosy whatever the season. This cottage consists of a lounge/diner with wood burning stove, colour TV and video/DVD. There is also a kitchen area with electric cooker, fridge and microwave, along with use of the laundry area. Sleeping facilities are a double bedroom and an adult bunk room. There is also bathroom/WC.
Cheviot Cottage — sleeps 4
Cheviot Cottage boasts a fully-fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, along with a utility room with sink and auto/washer. There is a bathroom/WC with shower cubicle and bath. The lounge has a coal-effect electric fire, colour TV and video/DVD, and an archway to the dining area. Go up the stairs to the luxuriously fitted double bedroom with dressing/cot room off. There is also a twin bedded room.
Pheasant Lodge — sleeps 3
A brand new real solid wood log cabin build wih solid oak windows and doors, double glazed and fully fitted out to a very high standard. This new addition to the group truly is the ultimate in log cabin comfort.
